Logan Square’s history is rooted in German-influence with remnants of the past alive today in the form of several German businesses including the Chicago Brauhaus, a popular beer garden. Beautiful Victorian homes and tree-lined streets give Logan Square a small-town feel and the close-proximity to popular areas for dining and nightlife such as Lakeview and The Loop make it a great residential hub. Few chain stores exist in Logan Square which prides itself on its many locally-owned businesses as well as a large and safe park, one of the city’s largest libraries and a quaint but still lively feel.
