North Center is a community consisting of four sub-neighborhoods – Northcenter, Roscoe Village, St. Ben’s and Hamlin Park. Northcenter’s European founding has left their mark in the architecture of the homes and buildings in the area. Catering to a mainly residential, quiet crowd, Northcenter consists of many restaurants, parks, a movie theater, retailers and a popular Farmer’s Market. Roscoe Village is a quiet residential neighborhood formed mainly by two and three-story apartment buildings and service-oriented businesses. It is also popular for its annual Retro on Roscoe festival – a showing of classic cars, cover bands and kid-friendly events. St. Ben’s is centered around a large Catholic school and many quiet, family oriented residences including single family homes and small brick apartment buildings. Hamlin Park consists of quaint residential homes surrounding its large namesake park which includes plenty of green space and athletic fields.
